Even in our darkest times God lavishes His mercy on us.
His faithfulness gives us hope and His lovingkindness never fails.
"This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. 'The Lord is my portion,' says my soul, 'Therefore I have hope in Him.' The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him. It is good that he waits silently For the salvation of the Lord. For the Lord will not reject forever, For if He causes grief, Then He will have compassion According to His abundant lovingkindness." Lamentations 3:21-26, 31-32
PRAYER: As the old hymn says, "Great is Your faithfulness, O God, My Father, morning by morning new mercies I see, all I have needed Your hand has provided. Great is Your faithfulness Lord to me."
We are so undeserving of your love and faithfulness, yet you give it. Our hope is in a faithful God who never leaves or forsakes us. We will continue to seek Your face and wait upon you. Thank you for loving us as we are and for sending Your Son to die upon a cruel cross to put us in right standing with You, a holy God.
Keep us from evil and from the enemy who seeks to devour.
